Data Given:
Molarity = 0.425 mol/L
Volume = 335 mL
Moles = ?
Solution:
First of all convert volume from mL into L.
V = 335 / 1000 = 0.335 L
Applying formula of Molarity,
Molarity = moles of solute / Volume of solution
Solving for moles,
Moles = Molarity * Volume
Putting values,
Moles = 0.425 molL⁻¹ ₓ 0.335 L
Moles = 0.142 moles
Results:
Hence, when 0.142 moles of Ammonium nitrate taken and is added with enough water to make a volume of 335 mL, the molarity of the resulting solution will be 0.425 mol/dm³.
