    1200 mL

    Explanation:

    Concept tested: Molar gas Volume at RTP

    From the question we are given;

    0.05 mol of sulfur (IV) oxide gas.

    We are required to determine the volume in mL of Sulfur IV oxide.

    What doe we need to know?

    We need to know how much volume a mole of a gas occupies at room temperature and pressure (RTP). That is, 1 mole of a gas occupies a volume of 24 L or 24000 mL at RTP. Therefore; 1 mole of Sulfur dioxide will occupy a volume of 2400 mL

    Hence;

    To calculate the volume, we multiply the number of moles with the molar gas volume at RTP.

    Volume = 0.05 mol * 24000 mL/mol

    = 1200 mL

    Therefore, the volume of SO₂ is 1200 mL
