    False

electonegativity increases from left to right

that's why Oxygen and other group 7 elements are good at attracting electrons. while metals of group one and two are really bad at attracting elections (because of their low electonegativity)

I believe the correct answer is false. Electronegativity does not decrease across a period instead it increase from left to right. Electronegativity increases across a period because the number of charges on the nucleus increases. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
