    benzaldehyde o-xylene-1

    p-methylbenzaldehyde-1

    p-chlorobenzaldehyde-2

    fluorobenzene-2

    benzaldehyde-3

    Explanation:

Electrophilic aromatic substitution reaction refers to the replacement of a hydrogen atom on an arene ring by an electrophile. This reaction is difficult with unsubstituted benzene. However, substituents such as alkoxy and alkyl groups increases the tendency of the ring to participate in electrophilic substitution reactions due to electron donation to the ring. Other substituents, decrease the tendency of the ring to participate in electrophilic substitution and are said to deactivate the ring.
