    As of now, the nuclear fission is the most feasible energy source for human use. All the nuclear power plants are based on the controlled nuclear fission reaction, where the unstable nucleus is bombarded with high speed neutrons, thus, splitting the nucleus into stable ones and releasing huge amount of energy. The nuclear fusion requires very high temperature, the temperature equal's to that of the sun. Hence, it is not feasible right now. As the technology advances, we will see advancement in other form of energies.

    Nuclear reactions are broadly classified into fission and fusion reactions.

    In nuclear fusion two lighter nuclei combine to form a heavy nucleus along with the release of a large amount of energy.

    In contrast, fission reactions involve splitting of a heavy unstable nucleus into lighter nuclei along with the release of energy. Nuclear reactors work on the principle of nuclear fission which involves the breakdown of U-235 nucleus via the following equation:

    ₉₂U²³⁵ + ₀n¹ → ₅₆Ba¹⁴¹ + ₃₆Kr⁹² + 3₀n¹ + 200 MeV energy

    The energy generated in nuclear power plants currently serve as a source of clean energy relative to that generated from coal powered plants. Therefore, as of right now energy from nuclear fission is the most feasible for human use.
