What is the oxidation number of oxygen in OF2

    Oxygen almost always has an oxidation number of - 2

    The only exception is in H2O2 which makes it - 1, and in OF2 which makes it + 2

    Well flourines oxidation number is - 1 and since theres is two fluorine you multiply - 1 by two witch gives you - 2 meaning oxygen's has to be positive 2 since there is only one oxygen
