The solubility of co2 in water at 1.22 atm is 0.54 g/l. what is the solubility of carbon dioxide at 1.86 atm? assume that temperature is constant.

    According to Henry's Law, the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas above the surface of the solution. Therefore, we may set up the ratio:

    0.54 / 1.22 = S / 1.86

    S = 0.83 grams / liter
