    The net loss of Hydrogen in proton-proton chain full cycle is 3H

    in the first cycle 1/1 H atom fuses to form 2/1H (deuterium) and realise beta particles

    2/1H fuses with the third 1/1H atom to form 3/2 He and gamma radiation

    therefore 3H atom are lost
