Benzoic Acid is Converted into Benzyl Amine in following steps,

First the - OH group of Benzoic is replaced by - Cl by treating Benzoic acid with Thionyl Chloride.

The Benzoyl Chloride formed is treated with Ammonia, which replaces the - Cl of Benzoyl chloride with - NH₂ forming Benzamide.

Benzamaide on reduction by LiAlH₄ is converted to Benzyl Amine, as the strong reducing agent converts C=O (carbonyl) group into - CH₂ - group.
