The solubility of potassium permanganate in water at 20°C is 6.38 g per 100 g of water. What maximum mass of potassium permanganate can be dissolved in 38.5 g of water at 20°C?

    Mass = 38.5 g water * (6.38 g KMnO4/100 g water) = 246 g KMnO4
