The pressure is increased as depth increases.

Explanation: The pressure is the force exerted on the an unit area of the object. The increase in pressure is due to the hydrostatic pressure. As we go down there is high force exerted on the object by the water and the pressure also increase. The depth means high amount of water and high pressure. With increase in 10.06 meters you go down, the pressure increases by 14.5 psi. Hence pressure is directly proportional to the depth of water or sea. Question 2.

The temperature of water of these layers separate the water layers in the ocean.

    Explanation:

The ocean gets the heat energy from the sun. The temperature of ocean increase as it gets energy from the sun.

But heat distribution is not uniform.

As we know hot fluids tend to be stay on the top.

So the upper layer will get more heat and stay on the top.

The warm water from the sun do not circulate in the water, so the layer under that warm layer will be relatively colder.

    Question 3:Answer:

The temperature will increase with the increase in depth.

The temperature decreases with the increase in altitude.

Explanation: As we know, increase in depth leads to the increase in pressure. Increase in pressure mean more kinetic movement of molecules. This increase kinetic energy will lead to increase in temperature. As the altitude increases, the pressure of the gases decreases. The molecules in the air are farther apart to exert any. There is very low kinetic movement. Due to this low kinetic movement, there is decrease in temperature with increase in altitude.
