    Erlenmeyer flask is also called as conical flask or titration flask. It is type of the laboratory flask that features flat bottom, conical body, and cylindrical neck.

    Erlenmeyer flask is named after German chemist named Emil Erlenmeyer.

    They have wide bases and with sides which taper upward to short vertical neck.

    Mouth of Erlenmeyer flask may have beaded lip which can be covered or stopped. Büchner flask is a design modification of Erlenmeyer flask which used for the filtration under vacuum. Erlenmeyer flask is used for mixing, heating and swirling.
