Group 18: The Noble Gases

All have filled valence electron configurations and therefore are unreactive elements found in nature as monatomic gases. The noble gases were long referred to as either "rare gases" or "inert gases," but they are neither rare nor inert.

They don't form ions unless you physically force them to do so.
