    Here's what I get

    Explanation:

The main way is in the chemical balance of atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.

The burning of fossil fuels has caused a major increase in CO₂ levels - from 280 ppm to 412 pm and rising - and this, in turn, affects the acidity of seawater through the following equilibria.

    CO₂ (g) ⇌ CO₂ (aq) + H₂O (ℓ) ⇌ H₂CO₃ (aq) + H₂O (ℓ) ⇌ H₃O⁺ (aq) + HCO₃⁻ (aq)

As more CO₂ is absorbed into the ocean, the seawater becomes more acidic.

Coral, shellfish and some species of phytoplankton become less able to create their shells and skeletons from calcium carbonate.

However, jellyfish, plants, and some algae thrive in more acidic water.

There will be major changes in aquatic ecosystems as a result of ocean acidification.
