Given is PbI2 precipitation process and we are asked which ions will remain in the solution after precipitation.

PbI2 or Lead (II) iodide solution is precipitated to solid lead. The ions that will remain is excess Pb2 + ions and I - ions which were not converted to solid and deposited as Pb (s).
