    86606 calories of energy was transferred from the 2000gm of food into the water.

    Explanation:

    1 kilocalorie of energy is required to raise 1 degree of temperature increase. in 1 kg of water.

    It is also said that amount of energy or heat released in food combustion is equal to the heat absorbed by water in the combustion chamber.

    1 kilocalorie=4.184 kJ

    Amount of water = 2000g or 2 kg

    Temperature change = 44.3-22 degree celsius

    = 22.3 degree celsius

    2kg*22.3 = 44.6 Kilocalorie of energy input.

    equation to calculate the energy in calories

    q=mc (change in temperature)

    specific heat capacity of water is 4.184

    = 2*4.184*22.3

    q = 186.60 Kj

    To convert into gm

    186.60*1000

    = 186606 calories of energy was transferred from the 2000gm of food into the water.
