What tools would you need to use if you are going to make the measurements necessary to calculate the density of a rock

    I believe you would use a graduated cylinder mark the volume inital volume of the cylinder and then the final

    then minus the final volume - the inital to give the volume

    then you would put the rock on a scale and get the mass

    then you use the "equation of love"

    mass / volume = density

    m/v = density
