    677.76 g of oxygen needed.

    Explanation:

    Given dа ta:

    Mass of glucose = 635.2 g

    Mass of oxygen needed = ?

    Solution:

    Chemical equation:

    C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ → 6CO₂ + 6H₂O + energy

    Number of moles of glucose:

    Number of moles = mass / molar mass

    Number of moles = 635.2 g / 180.156 g/mol

    Number of moles = 3.53 mol

    Now we will compare the moles of glucose with oxygen.

    C₆H₁₂O₆ : O₂

    1 : 6

    3.53 : 6*3.53 = 21.18 mol

    Mass of oxygen:

    Mass = number of moles * molar mass

    Mass = 21.18 g * 32 g/mol

    Mass = 677.76 g
