The correct answer is 4.6 liters of O₂ gas is formed.

The concentration of CO₂ given is 4.60 liters

    CO₂ (g) ↔ C (s) + O₂ (g)

Since 1 mole of CO₂ give 1 mole of O₂ upon reaction

So mole of O₂ produced = mole of CO₂

At STP, 1 mole gas contain 22.4 liter volume

    So, mole of CO₂ = 4.6 / 22.4 = 0.20535

Mole of O₂ formed = mole of CO₂ = 0.20535

    Volume of O₂ = 0.20535 * 22.4

    = 4.6 liters

Therefore, 4.6 liters of O₂ (g) is formed.
