Which chemical species can form an ionic bond with an anion? Hg22 + NO2 - SO32 - Ar

    Im guessing that is meant to be Hg2+, and if so then this is the correct answer. an anion has a negative charge, and as so will be a non metallic element. an ionic bond is formed between a metal and a non mental, therefore Hg2 + being both metallic and having a positive charge, is the cation required to form an ionic bond
