How many pairs of electrons are shared between the nitrogen atoms in a molecule of N2?

    There are 3 pairs of electrons that are shared between nitrogen atoms in a nitrogen molecule. Nitrogen atom has a valence electron of 5. To complete it and agree with the octet rule, it should be that three electrons should share with another atom.
