The toxic forms of oxygen are hydrogen peroxide, ozone, and superoxides. For superoxide, it should be paired with the detoxifying enzyme that is superoxide dismutase, as well as, the enzyme catalase. Any detoxifying enzyme paired with superoxide other than the dismutase or catalase is improperly paired.
