The atomic number of sulfur is 16. The energy levels available are K, L, M for first, second and third energy level respectively. The number of electrons in each level is calculated by the formula : 2n^2, where n is the energy level. Using this formula, there are 2,8 and 6 electrons in the first, second and third energy levels of sulfur respectively.
