People make and use alloys because metals don't have exactly the right properties for a job. usually, alloys are stronger and harder than their main metals, harder to work and less ductile (harder to pull into wires).

The correct answer is to create new materials with very different properties.

    Explanation:

An alloy is a homogeneous mixture of two or more elements, one of which is a metal. The resulting compound has very different properties from those of the elements that formed it separately. The mixture of a small quantity of one of them with another one can already modify the properties of the one that is in greater quantity. The alloy technique is used to improve the mechanical strength, hardness or corrosion resistance of pure metals.
