Equal volumes of a 6.0 m kno3 solution and 2.6 m nacl solution are mixed. what is the molarity of the new solution in kno3 and nacl?

    Answer: 3.0 m kno3 solution and 1.3 m nacl

    Concentration is count by the number of molecules divided by the volume. When mixing two solutions, the number of molecules wouldn't change but the volume is increased.

    The volume of both solutions is same. Let say the volume is V. When the solution mixed, the volume becomes 2V. The concentration of both solutions will be half of its original concentration.
