    The correct answer is B. The total pressure of the sample will stay the same. The change in the total pressure is very small that it can be negligible. Nitrogen fixation is when bacteria convert nitrogen in air to ammonia. The partial pressure from the CO2 released from other cells will just replace the change in pressure during nitrogen fixation.
