3. Your friend says that when someone drives a car, they use up energy. Develop an argument to refute your friend's claim using scientific evidence from this activity.

    The friends claim can be refuted using the Law of the Conservation of Energy, which states that energy can not be created or destroyed, only transferred. Therefore, the energy used to drive the car wasn't 'used up', simply transferred into other forms.
