A material has a density of 8.9 g/cm3 you have six cubic centimeters of the substance what is the materials mass in grams

    Density can be calculated using the following rule:

    density=mass/volume

    therefore,

    mass = density*volume

    we have density=8.9gm/cm^3 and volume=6cm^3

    substituting in the above equation, we can calculate the mass as follows:

    mass = 8.9*6 = 53.4 grams
