    1. Mass and matter are usually two different concepts that are always misinterpreted. Matter can be categorized as solid, liquid, or gas. While mass refers to gravitational mass, passive gravitational mass and inertial mass.

    Matter is a property of all physical objects.

    Examples of matters are:

    => ruler

    => water

    => cube

    Mass is basically the weight of an object.

    => Mass of ruler in grams

    => mass of water

    => mass of cube.

    Thus, matter is a form of mass, and mass is a measurable quantity while the matter is not.
