A tank has 1.90 mols of Nz gas under a pressure of 4.972 atm at 31.8 °C.

Calculate the volume of the tank.

    Equation for the ideal gas:

    PV=nRT

    so, V = (nRT) / P ... 1

    Here,

    n=1.90 moles

    R=.0821 Latmmol-1k-1

    T=31.8+273 = 304.8 K [T (un kelvin scale) = t (in celcius scale) + 273]

    P = 4.972 atm

    Now from eq 1 we can determine the volume of the gas or tank V, which is 9.56 L (option C)
