How many grams of ice at 0C and 101.3 kPa could be melted by the addition of 0.40 kJ of heat?

    0
    the latent heat of fusion of ice ... the temp needed to melt 1 kg of ice, is 334,000J or 334kJ

    therefore, 0.4kg of heat could melt 0.4/334 = 0.0012 kg = 1.2 g of ice
