    Data Given:

    Volume = V = 44.8 L

    Standard Pressure = P = 1 atm

    Standard Temperature = T = 273 K

    According to Ideal Gas Equation,

    P V = n R T

    Solving for n,

    n = P V / R T

    Putting values,

    n = (1 atm * 44.8 L) : (0.0821 atm. L. mol⁻¹. K⁻¹ * 273 K)

    n = 1.99 mol

    Now, calculating for mass,

    n = Mass / M. mass

    Or,

    Mass = n * M. mass

    Mass = 1.99 mol * 28 g. mol⁻¹

    Mass = 55.72 grams
