There are many different rules for naming compounds. How from the chemical formula alone can you tell what set of rules you should use?

    Ionic compound = Metal + non metal

    covalent bond = non metal + non metal

    blue ones are metal

    yellow ones are non metal,

    i can you give you all rules if u want.
