The distance cover by Jogger before heading NW is 8993.3 meters

    Explanation:

    Given as:

Jogger initial distance in south east direction = 911.9 meters

The speed of Jogger in north west direction is 3.109 m/s

The time taken to cover distance in north west direction is 53.10 minutes

    Or, the time taken = 53.10 * 60 sec

    I. e Time taken = 3186 seconds

So, the Distance cover in north west direction = Speed * time

or, The Distance cover in north west direction = 3.109 mps * 3186 sec

    Or, = 9905.2 meters

    So. before heading NW, the distance cover = 9905.2 m - 911.9 m = 8993.3 meters

Hence The distance cover by Jogger before heading NW is 8993.3 meters Answer
