3. How many moles of sodium are needed to react with sulfuric acid to produce 3.75 moles of

sodium sulfate according to the following (unbalanced) reaction:

    Explanation:

    balanced reaction:

    2Na + H2 (SO4) → Na2 (SO4) + H2

    ∴ n Na2SO4 = 3.75 mol

    ⇒ n Na = (3.75 mol Na2 (SO4)) * (2 mol Na/mol Na2 (SO4))

    ⇒ n Na = 7.5 mol
