    When the pressure of gas is double the volume will decrease by the same factor.

    Explanation:

    According to the Bolye's law,

    The pressure of given amount of gas at constant temperature and amount of gas is inversely proportional to its volume.

    Mathematical relationship:

    P∝1/V

    P = K/V

    PV = K

    P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

    P₁ = initial pressure

    V₁ = initial volume

    P₂ = final pressure

    V₂=final volume

    So by increasing the pressure volume will decrease, or by decreasing the pressure volume will increase. The temperature and mole of gas are kept constant and pressure and volume changed by same factor.
