    The density of a substance can be calculated by simply taking the ratio of mass and volume. That is:

    density = mass / volume

    density = 153.6 g / 100 cm^3

    density = 1.536 g / cm^3

    The density of water is 1 g / cm^3. Since the solid block has higher density than water, therefore it will sink on water.
