A fuel being combusted to power a rocket describes the conversion of energy from chemical energy to mechanical energy.

Explanation: According to the Law of conservation of energy, energy can not be destroyed or created, however, it can be transformed. When fuel is being combusted to power a rocket, energy is transformed from chemical energy to mechanical energy. In this case, the chemical energy in the fuel is converted to thermal energy when the fuel is burned in the engine which then transforms thermal energy to Mechanical energy.
