Experiment 7 excess salt is added to water and the mixture is stirred until no more salt dissolves (the solution is saturated). the salt that does not dissolve is allowed to settle out. what will happen to the concentration of the salt in the solution if water evaporates until the volume of the solution is half the original volume? (assume the temperature remains constant.)

The concentration of salt will become more concentrated.

When water evaporates, salt does not. The volume of water cannot hold all salt particles and as a result, some salt would be crystallized and became cube like shapes and since the amount of salt didn't change, the concentration of salt increases.
