What is the molarity of a solution that contains 20 grams of salt dissolved in 3.0 L of solution? The molar mass of water is 18g/mol. 0.37 M 6 M 6.7 M 3.5 M

    Number of moles:

    n = mass solute / molar mass

    n = 20 / 18

    n = 1.111 moles

    Therefore:

    Molarity = moles solute / volume

    Molarity = 1.111 / 30 = > 0.37 M
