How is the atomic number, mass number and charge of an atom found if you are given the number of protons, neutrons and electrons?

    The atomic number is the number of protons. The mass number is the number of protons plus the number of neutrons. The charge can be found by subtracting the number of electrons from the number of protons, although if it is an atom and not an ion it shouldn't have a charge as the protons and electrons would cancel out each other's charges.
