The density of mercury is 13.6 g/ml. If a sample of mercury has a mass of 186 g, what is the volume of the sample in ml?

    Explanation: In the problem density and mass are give & you have to figure out the volume of mercury. So use this formula:

    Mass = Volume * Density

    Volume = Mass : Density

    Volume = 186 g : 3.6 g/ml
