Minerals are naturally occurring inorganic solids that have a crystalline structure and have a definable chemical composition. Rocks on the other hand are basically solids that are made up of an aggregate of minerals to make one unified/coherent mass

It is important to understand that all minerals and hence rocks, are naturally occurring. Moreover it is important to note that rocks are made from minerals making minerals the building blocks of all rocks. And that is where the relationship is.
