Let's suppose I place a live mouse in closed chambers with a CO2 sensor. In Chamber A, the mouse was given caffeine; therefore the mouse is very active. In Chamber B, the mouse was given sedatives; therefore the mouse is asleep and (mostly) inactive. Which of these chambers will have the highest rate of CO2 production?
