The sea breezes is what drives the wind to blow towards the land during the day. Sea breezes happen throughout hot, most especially summer days due to the unequal hotness rates of water and land. The land surface becomes hot faster than the water surface during the day. Thus, the air on top of the land is warmer than the air on top of the ocean. Cooler air is heavier than warmer air, that is why warm air rises. Hence, the warmer air above the land surface is moving upwards.
