Using the average atomic mass, calculate the number of atoms present in 1.6 ml of liquid mercury. (density = 13.6 g/ml)

    1.6 mL of liquid mercury (Hg). (Density = 13.6 g/mL) = 21.76g of Hg

    1 mole of Hg = 200.59 g

    21.76 g Hg = 0.1084799 mole ( = 21.76 g / (200.59 g/mole))

    = (6.02 * 10^23) * 0.1084799 = 6.53048998e22 number of atom in 1.6 ml of Hg ( = 21.76 g of Hg)
