If HI were 100% ionic, then the charge would be Q=1.60*10-19 C. Using the equation μ=Q*r calculate μ, the expected dipole of HI. Be sure to convert the bond distance, r=161 pm, to meters.

    Well, p refer to pico based on prefix in Physics

    pico=10 power of (-12) (ten power of negative 12)

    161 has to be converted to this form 1.61

    1.61*10> (-10)
