    Required to determine the mass of the compound needed to make the solution.

    We know that;

    Molarity = Moles : Volume

    Therefore;

    Moles = Molarity * Volume

    Hence;

    Moles of the compound = 3 M * 0.017 L

    = 0.051 Moles

    But;

    Mass = Moles * Molar mass

    = 0.051 moles * 543.52 g/mol

    = 27.71952 g

    But, 1 g = 1000 mg

    Therefore;

    Mass (in mg) = 27719.52 mg
