A gas occupies 100.0mL at a pressure of 780 mm hg. What is the volume of the gas when its pressure is increased to 880 mm hg

    We can apply apply Boyle's law here, which state that for a fixed temperature and amount of gas, the volume of a gas is inversely proportional to the pressure. Thus,

    PV = constant

    780 x 100 = 880 x V

    V = 88.6 ml
