    Calculate the mass of the empirical formula

    C=12

    H=1

    O=16

    C3H3O = 12*3+1*3+16 = 55

    divide the molar mass by the empirical mass

    110.0/55 = 2

    the molecular formula will be

    (C3H3O) 2 or C6H6O2
